What is the Urannah Water Scheme?

The Urannah Water Scheme will secure water for North Queensland with a new dam, hydro-power plant, two pipelines and irrigation scheme.

About the project

The project is being led by the Urannah Water Scheme Pty Ltd in collaboration with the Bowen Collinsville Enterprise.

A preliminary business case has been completed and a detailed business case is currently underway.

The project team is committed to ongoing engagement with the local community, traditional owners and businesses.
